Press Release: Grease coming to the live stage July 2016

Get out your leather jackets and pull on your bobby socks with Rydell High’s senior class of 1959.

Fenton Village Players invites you to celebrate the summer with Grease, the musical.  Grease follows love-struck bad-boy Danny and girl-next-door Sandy in a thrilling injection of pure fun with astounding dancing and amazing songs. It’s the beloved rock n’ roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars, and first loves all set in the fabulous fifties. This all-new production is on stage July 21 through July 31 and features the irresistible songs from the Tony Award nominated Broadway show and hit movie, including:

  • “You’re The One That I Want”
  • “Grease Is The Word”
  • “Summer Nights”
  • “Hopelessly Devoted To You”
  • “Greased Lightnin'”
  • and many more!

The Fenton Village Players are thrilled to announce that Grease will be produced at the Karl Richter Community Center, located at 300 East Street in Holly Michigan.

The auditorium offers comfortable, air conditioned seating for over 550 patrons. The auditorium features a newly finished stage, updated lights and sound, and a great curtain system and flyspace.

It is going to be exciting to bring this great show to such a wonderful stage space. The sound in this auditorium is astounding. You won’t want to miss it!” Laura Legant, the show’s producer, said.

The production team for Grease includes Director Jonathan Smith, Musical Director Rafeal McDaniel, Assistant Director Carrie Hayes, Choreographer Andrea Allen-Arnold, and Stage Manager Leigh Anne Menard. The production team has worked countless hours to put together a great vision for this show with a fabulous set design and a very talented cast.

Shows are two weekends in July. Evening performances are July 21, 22, 23, 29, and 30 at 7 pm. Two Sunday afternoon matinees will be on July 24 and 31 at 2 pm.

Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased from our website or via our box offices in Fenton, Michigan.

Adult General Admission price is $18, Senior tickets (55+) are $15, Student tickets (age 12 through college) are $15, admission for children (11 and under) is $10.
